Prayer of Salvation

Prayer of Salvation is simple, honest words to God. In this prayer, a person admits they have lived in sin, asks for forgiveness, and wants to begin a new life with God. It is like a conversation with a loving Father.

No special words are needed — what matters is that it comes from the heart. For many, this prayer is the beginning of truly knowing God. The prayer of repentance is the first step toward Him.

 

Example of a Prayer of Salvation (for those who find it hard to choose the words):

“Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. You showed this love by sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins. I admit that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness and salvation.

I ask You to forgive me, cleanse me, and receive me as Your child.

I confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and as my personal Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart, into my life, and change me. Help me to live the way You want me to live.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, that You hear my prayer and receive me. Amen.”
